As the art director on this project, I led a team of designers and worked closely with Disney/Lucasfilm Studio and marketing teams to develop an experience that would launch the next generation in Star Wars franchise. The Force Awakens was a group effort from Walmart and the studio to create a unique section on Walmart.com to bring all products related to the Star Wars universe into a single and engaging customer experience. Over a 4 month period we had to bring together diverse teams from corporate, movie studios, toy manufacturers, apparel, beauty, music, media and all of our internal teams. 
The FORCE FRIDAY launch of the new site saw a complete Star Wars take over of Walmart.com – for the first time ever, the header had an animated background and even a lightsaber sounding/light-up Walmart spark. All departments were engaged in driving traffic to the experience to deliver to our customers a different experience that ultimately delivered on and beat sales expectations.
